50 years ago you wouldn’t have been able to go to the theatre in the UK without seeing a Rank Strand Pattern 23 profile or it’s sister the Pattern 123 fresnel. With 20,000 units sold in just 4 years it’s likely that whether it was a village hall, concert hall, local theatre or West End, any show you saw in the sixties or any year since would have included some of these.

A Strand Patt 23 carefully cut in half then shot blasted. Mounted on a black painted wooden base, waxed and polished.
